About Me I am determined to enjoy life to the fullest. I love people, and will do just about anything to make them laugh, feel good about themselves and good about life. I have been blessed with two wonderful kids and was lucky enough to find an equally wonderful man to spend the rest of my days exploring the world with. We were married in August of 2007. Dislikes Bad food, bad mead (if such a thing exists)and bad attitudes. Life is too short to view the world with pessimism. Look for the good around you and you will find it.

Virtues Depends on how you define 'virtue'

Heroes David, the love of my life and the finest man (Scot or otherwise) on the face of the earth. A constant inspiration to me. My big brother (also a David) who, after losing his soul mate to diabetes, lost everything he owned to pay the doctor bills. At age 48, he picked himself up, dusted himself off and started over. He is now back on top again, with a new home and family in California. The man is unstoppable. Way to go Bro. Both of these great men are determined to succeed, and both are also determined to drag my butt to the top right along with them. I hope I prove worthy of their faith in me.

1st Annual Midlands Celtic Festival

We have the car packed and heading out at the crack 'o dawn to set up at Levi Carter Park. The local SCA baroney will be there too (first time I've ever seen one of the LARP living history things at one of theses games but what the hey) It's supposed to be a lovely day, clear warm and not windy.

There will be scads of men-in-kilts doing neat stuff like Caber toss, sheaf toss and hammer throw. Beer tent, vendors and what have you. I placed a notice on In the 'O' since I know some folks actually use it to find stuff to do on the weekend. Hope we have a good turnout!

Cooler and camera is packed ^_^

I took a chance on this because I absolutely adore green and gold. The drape is great. I
like the trim, although I might change out the sleeve ties.

I'll let you know how it wears.

In September the newest Scot makes his appearance. David has already purchased a wee sporran for him and may even fashion a tiny kilt.
My poor daughter is suffering from a battered spleen and beaten kidneys. The boy is already larger than average for his age, and her husbands' family is known for large babies.
